We strongly believe in the power of play and the importance of empowering children to explore at their own pace. Inspired by approaches such as Montessori, Reggio, and Waldorf, our program is not tied to any single philosophy. We blend best practices to create a nurturing, nature led environment where curiosity guides learning.
Each week we introduce new themes, from nature and art to science and community, and we integrate them into circle time, outdoor exploration, creative projects, and group play. Children are invited, never forced, to participate. We prioritize social and emotional development along with early literacy and numeracy foundations.
We celebrate diversity and cultural humility and make sure our materials, stories, and activities reflect the richness of our families and community. While we are not formally accredited yet, our standards align with international early years expectations and we work to exceed them.
We view Garden Roots as a child centered third space where children grow through meaningful play, relationships, and guided inquiry. We believe short, focused sessions are developmentally appropriate for young children, and our mixed age groups encourage leadership, empathy, and collaboration.
As children prepare for elementary school, we provide added opportunities for early reading, writing, and problem solving while keeping play at the heart of learning. Older learners naturally support younger friends and build confidence, patience, and social skills.
